In the artists words: I hope to show my love of the Southwest in my design. My mind goes to a time when cowboys and Indians rode the land. The spirit of freedom and the love of life is alive and well in Texas and the great Southwest. The symbols of the Southwest from the snake and sun to the bear show the strength and gracious warmth of the people who live there. The Southwest Cow not only represents the people of today but also represents and reminds us of our heritage and all the people who settled the West. The Southwest Cow is a colorful and udderly moo-velous work of art to add to your collection.
Artist David Moad, born in Nebraska, has been a resident of Texas since 1963. Moad has been drawing since early childhood. For thirty years, he was an educator teaching art, drafting, photograph, CAD and industrial technology. His work has been displayed in various exhibitions throughout Texas.
