Each Santa on Not a Creature was Stirring is an original design inspired by antique Christmas images. The artist explains her inspiration came from the fact that the proceeds from the cows go to benefit children, and Santa is the ideal giver of gifts to children during the holidays. The artists own children have benefited from the wonderful work done at Texas Childrens Hospital. Allwein claims, It was a chance for me to give back.
