The market is back on the rise, so the bidding on Mootual Cacti Cow should be heavy. The design includes four large cactus plants representing ticker tape machines with the ticker tape, complete with ticker symbols wrapping around the cow in varying shades of green. The design is meant reflect the world of mutual funds in Houston. According to artist Gayle Boggess, “The use of green and gold colors in the design reflects monetary success in the world of finance.”

The artist’s work, primarily done in oils and watercolors, is in private and public collections across the U.S. She is a native Houstonian living in the Katy area with her husband. They are the parents of four grown children and have five grandchildren.
This remarkable statue can now be yours. So, be part of the fun, and help an incredible cause along the way. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Texas Children’s Hospital Building for Children capital campaign and will help fund the expansion of the Texas Children’s Cancer Center.

This cow was sold in Flight 4 of the internet auction hosted by that ran from December 15 - 21, 2001.
