Lascow was inspired by the paintings found on the walls of the Paleolithic cave at Lascaux, France. This site provides evidence that some of the earliest images created by humans were of aurochs, ancestors of today's cow. Lascow endeavors to remind us that cows have been an important source of sustenance, myth, and art since prehistory. Lascow has been modeled and painted to reflect the interior of caves, with earth tones, textures, and surfaces that include renderings of animals and handprints. Lascow invites exploration!
