Haute Cowture's real name is Cindy Cowture and, as the artist puts it, "is ready to party until the cows come home." Her fashionable outfit includes pink leopard Capri pants, a back daisy linen halter, open-toed black platform shoes, the better to show off her pedicured hooves, and she is adorned with many pieces of jewelry to complete her look.
The artist hopes that people will laugh when they look at "Haute Cowture" and take a moment to smell the daisies. The artist studied landscape architecture at Ohio State University and worked in that area for years but has since turned to her real passion, painting. She lives in Granville, Ohio with her husband and two sons, where she runs a small business providing faux finishes, decorative painting and murals.
This remarkable statue can now be yours. So, be part of the fun, and help an incredible cause along the way. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Texas Children’s Hospital Building for Children capital campaign and will help fund the expansion of the Texas Children’s Cancer Center.
