"Half and Half" added up to a collaborative effort, the design half by Peggy Hoekman, the painted execution by classmate - CowBoy Duncan Simmons. According to the artist, "Texans consider themselves to hold dual citizenship in the state of Texas and the United States of America. We are equally proud of both, maintain our unique diversity, and celebrate the whole."				This cow was sold in the live auction conducted by Sotheby's on December 6, 2001 at the Wortham Center.
