Faux Cow is a striking work of gold, copper, and verdigris leafing. Horwitz says, “I always loved gold leaf and was fascinated by patina finishes. I wanted to create an “understated elegance”. The different colors represent the different patches in a real cow.” The expertly gilded Faux Cow will make a perfect addition to your foyer, anteroom, or living room.

Artist Deborah Horwitz was born in Houston, and has a B.A. in Environmental Design. Horwitz went to graduate school in Florence, Italy and studied Restoration Architecture. The artist lived in Florence 6 years where she learned many Italian art techniques including gilding.
