Who doesn’t love this song? Deep in the Heart of Texas Cow follows the score and lyrics of the famous song painted around the body. The midnight sky is painted on the face, back and tail with graduating stars scattered in galaxy patterns. The horns are shiny gold, her eyes reflect blue with large gold stars, and the udder is covered with red stars. Bluebonnets grow up the legs and out of the ornate red and black cowgirl boots.

Artist Gayle Boggess’ work, primarily done in oils and watercolors, is in private and public collections across the U.S. She is a native Houstonian living in the Katy area with her husband. They are the parents of four grown children and have five grandchildren.
