Title: Cow of Lilies
Location: Market Square: Preston and Milam
Artist: Hastings Ninth Grade Center
Sponsor: EOG Resources, Inc.

Cow of Lillies will work just great in your home, garden or on your ranch. In fact, this wonderful piece will look great anywhere! Working from silk calla lilies, talented students at Hastings Ninth Grade Center created Cow of Lillies, a design of richly painted hued flowers on a deep azure background. The artists were inspired by Diego Rivera and his painted calla lilies. Principle and staff members also enjoyed applying their talents to the greenery. (Each eye of the cow is painted completely different.)

A group of dedicated teachers and students worked countless hours after school to achieve their goal of a beautifully decorated cow.
This remarkable statue can now be yours. So, be part of the fun, and help an incredible cause along the way. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Texas Children’s Hospital Building for Children capital campaign and will help fund the expansion of the Texas Children’s Cancer Center.

This cow was sold in Flight 6 of the internet auction hosted by Amazon.com that ran from December 20, 2001 to January 8, 2002.
