Title: Texas Landscape Location: Houston Zoo: Hermann Park Drive at Golf Course Drive Artist: St. John's School - Dan Havel Sponsor: Lane, Mary S, Margaret, Jim, Buck, John, Harry, Sam and Lucy Texas Landscape cow uses two paint-by-numbers compositions for each side of the cow. The image was projected and drawn onto the cow, complete with numbers. The students used acrylic paint to mix & match the numbered colors that came with the original paint-by-number set and began filling in the spaces. Certain areas, which correspond to the number spots were left unpainted so the viewer could tell the image was a paint-by-number composition. Dan chose the paint-by-number idea for the cow so that he could easily involve as many students as possible. The images were inspired by the cowboy history of Texas.				Send a Postcard
