Title: Texas Ant Hill
Location: Texas Children's Hospital: Feigin Center - Bates and Fannin
Artist: Deborah K. Walsh
Sponsor: Shelley and Lew Brazelton
Nancy and Arthur Epley
Nancy and Ted Reynolds

The artist describes "Texas Ant Hill" as the correlation between a society of ants and a society of people. The cow viewed from afar depicts a white cow wearing a red, white and blue bandana, but upon closer inspection, you see that there is an entire colony of ants complete with farmers, builders, a construction crew and even royalty, all complete with costumes and props. She is so patriotic and fits in with how we have bonded as a nation.

From kindergarten through college, the artist, Deborah Walsh, was encouraged by her teachers to pursue art. Oil painting is Walsh’s medium of choice. Walsh has been involved with many exhibits and awarded many honors throughout her career as an artist.
This remarkable statue can now be yours. So, be part of the fun, and help an incredible cause along the way. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Texas Children’s Hospital Building for Children capital campaign and will help fund the expansion of the Texas Children’s Cancer Center.

This cow was sold in Flight 6 of the internet auction hosted by Amazon.com that ran from December 20, 2001 to January 8, 2002.
