Looking for a beautiful bovine steeped in history? Look no further. Visually stiking Heifer-titi is an Egyptian princess based on the Egyptian Queen Nefertiti, wife of the Pharaoh Akhenaten. Akhenaten’s cartouche is stamped on Heifer-titi’s clothing. The inspiration for Heifer-titi was HSPVA’s production of the musical “Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat,” which had an Egyptian theme. Artist Rebecca Lammons is currently a senior in the Visual Art Department of the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston. The other participating HSPVA student artists were Javier Conejo, Andrew Francis, Alexis Herrera, Julie Hill, Morgan Rosse, Danny Soto, and Julie Sugar. Eileen Montgomery and Harold Thomas, practicing artists and instructors at HSPVA, supervised the creation of this historical heiffer.
