Location: Memorial Park: Memorial Drive - Croquet Fields by Tennis Center
Artist: J. Seyler
Sponsor: Ray C. Fish Foundation

Looking for a unique piece of art for your home, garden, or office? Look no further--that is, if you're interested in a work with a bit of a bovine feel. This beautiful bovine is one of the nearly 330 life-size cows painted and sculpted by Houston-area artists and seen throughout Houston this summer as part of CowParade Houston 2001. This remarkable statue can be yours. Be part of the fun, and help an incredible cause along the way. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Texas Children’s Hospital Building for Children capital campaign and will help fund the expansion of the Texas Children’s Cancer Center.

It has taken years of deep study to understand the cow, ie hamburgers, steaks, pot roasts, etc. to get the true cow. Vogue a la Moode is a colorful, exceptionally fashionable and most of all a show-off. You cannot stop this beautiful bovine from strutting her stuff!

Judy Seyler is an amateur painter. The walls of her home were her canvas until she moved from Kansas to Texas three and a half years ago. Enrolling in Glassell School of Art, she found that she enjoyed painting and has a lot of talent.

This cow was sold in Flight 2 of the internet auction hosted by Amazon.com that ran from December 8 - 14, 2001.
