Title: Texas Moobonnets Location: American Shooting Centers - George Bush Park: 16500 Westheimer Parkway Artist: Kimberly Kooser Keefe Sponsor: American Shooting Centers Texas Moobonnets is simply a ‘moosterpiece’ and, by all accounts, one of the best pieces in CowParade Houston. The artist’s inspiration for “Texas Moobonnets” was Texas in the spring. There is no other place like it. Where during other times of the year, there are dreary roadsides and fields of browns and greens; you wonder how anything can grow. In the spring, there is a rainbow of flowers, and amid the flowers are cows. This artsy bovine is painted so that from every angle it looks as though she was cut straight out of a canvas painting. The immensely talented Kimberly Keefe is a lifelong resident of Houston. She will graduate this year with a BFA in studio art from Sam Houston State University.
