- Jose Figueroa
Figueroa was raised in Houston, TX and graduated from Rice University with a triple major in Art, Psychology, and Economics. Figueroa describes himself as “a new media artist, incorporating digital imaging, video and audio into site specific multi-media installations.” His work has been exhibited at major Houston venues such as Diverseworks, and Lawndale Art Center, and he’s lectured at the Glassell School of Art. Figueroa’s “Maria y Jose” a digital painting commissioned by the Houston downtown Management District, is permanently displayed in the Theater District. Figueroa is a recipient of the 2001 Individual Artist grant from the Cultural Arts Council of Houston/Harris County.
