- David C. James
David James studied under nationally recognized billboard artist W.O. Hart 1981-1984. From 1983-1984 James studied under Houston area master artist Dick Turner.
James began his career as an apprentice and journeyman pictorial artist for Graphix Arts Sign Company. In 1984 James was a journeyman lettering and pictorial artist for Speciality Sign Company. He started Skywalker Signs in 1985 serving greater Houston billboard companies with hand painted bulletins and pictorials. In 1991 he founded Billboard Designs expanding into logo design, computer assisted design and production and large scale murals. In 1999 James founded Nextwave Art & Advertising.
